The race off was underway in Indianopolis. The flag had waved announcing the start of the race and laps had been made until a winner had been announced. And, Buddy Wilson had dominated the race. He had won thirteen out of the sixteen laps of the race and finished first across the finishing line against Wells Norman and had been named the champion of the indianopolis 500 race off of the 2016 season.
